US: TS Michael Brings Heavy Rain and Flooding to North Carolina

Tropical Storm Michael continues to move toward North Carolina as it passes the southeastern United States on Thursday morning, October 11.

The downgraded hurricane is bringing with it storm-force winds, flooding and rain. Tornado watches were issued in multiple South Carolina counties along the North Carolina border, including Union and York counties, south of Charlotte.

A storm surge warning is in effect for communities from Ocracoke Inlet to Duck on the North Carolina coast.
